CONDUCT OF THE COMPUTER BASED TEST (CBT) FOR THE 2020/2021 FEDERAL TEACHERS SCHEME (FTS)
You may wish to recollect that the FTS CBT was initially scheduled for 10th of October 2020 but was postponed due to some exigencies. The new date has now been fixed for 24th October 2020.
The Board is therefore, requested to inform all the candidates who names were shortlisted for the UBEC Federal Teachers’ Scheme Screening Test of the new date and that the CBT will take place in the State Capitals of the Federation and Abuja-Federal Capital Territory.
The candidates are to report at their designated Computer Based Test Centres (CBT) by 7 am prompt as verification of applicants shall commence at 8:30 am and the examination at 10am. Applicants are to come to the centre with the following materials;
- Original copy of the printed application form
- Original credentials for sighting and photocopy for submission
- Valid identity card: National Identity Card, voters’ card, Drivers. Licence, international passport.
- Face mask and hand sanitizer
Other details will be communicated as received from JAMB
Some items have been prohibited. Candidates are also to be informed of the items and should not be in possession of any of them at the centre. Attached is a list of the items. For further information, please contact 08033364779, 07032232577 or 08036014258.

Leave a ReplyONDO SUBEB TO BEGIN REDISTRIBUTION OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS TO ADDRESS SHORTAGE
The Ondo State Universal Education Board SUBEB will soon begin redistribution of teachers across all local government areas to address the shortage of manpower in some areas.
Speaking at the first working day of the year prayers held at the board premises, the SUBEB chairman, Princess Oladunni Odu said there would be effective monitoring of schools in in the new year to ensure teachers give their pupils the best.
The chairman appreciated the staffers for their hard work and cooperation with the permanent secretary and directors in the board.
She advised them to go about their work in the new year dedicatedly saying everyone in the board is a team and it is in cooperation that they can all succeed together.
Princess Odu said all the projects that will be implemented very soon are geared toward re-engineering the basic primary schools in the state and make the facilities more conducive for learning.

Newly inaugurated Chairman, Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Princess Oladunni Odu, has declared that her determination is to leave a place, especially the society, better than she met it.
Odu made the declaration while speaking at a thanksgiving service held on her appointment at the Methodist Church, Igbobini Diocese, Idepe Circuit, Idepe- Okitipupa, yesterday.
She added that she has high passion for touching lives of the people around her
“It is always my joy to touch people’s lives and I will continue to do just that without sentiment,” she vowed
“God chooses, He promotes, He is my creator, my provider and my all -in-all. I thank God, I thank Arakunrin Akeredolu for my appointment,” she stated.
She described the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) as a man of great integrity, a man of high repute and called the people of Ondo State to give him full support .
“SUBEB belongs to the18 local governments of Ondo State, Okitipupa will have its fair share,” she promised
Earlier in the sermon he delivered at the service, Very Reverend Pozonin Basil said that the chairman is known for excellent performance wherever she is, in the church and society, urging her to keep it up
Those who extolled the virtues of Princess Odu included the Chairman, Okitipupa Local Government, Mrs. Morenike Alaka, the Jegun of Idepe- Okitipupa, Oba Michael Obatuga Adetoye, The Oniju of Iju Odo, Oba Festus Olumoyegun, a former Permanent Secretary at SUBEB, Mrs Mojisola Ajayi and the present Director, School Service on the board, Mr Clement Adesuyi as well as the S. A. to the governor on Education, Dr. Wumi Ilawole
Adesuyi in his comment said : ” Odu is a pleasant person, blessed with beauty, brilliance and intelligence. I am very pleased to work with her to take the primary education in the state to the next level”
According to Mrs Ajayi, a former Permanent Secretary of the board, Odu is an achiever, a goal-getter who had done it before and can always do it: She will perform well,” she asserted.

The Plateau Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC ) said it would soon introduce road safety education in public primary and secondary schools in the state.
Mrs Pat Emeordi, the corps Sector Commander in the state, made this known in an interview with the News men on Monday in Jos.
According her, the initiative is aimed at inculcating safety education in children with a view to increasing their level of awareness.
“The idea behind this initiative is to catch them young and to enable them understand the fundamentals and rudiments of safety education.
“We are already talking with the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and the state Ministry of Education to ensure the implementation of the initiative.
“So, by the special grace of God, we shall soon start the programme in Plateau,” he said.
Emeordi explained that the safety education would be infused into core subjects like English Language, Mathematics, Science and Technical Education, among others.

Akeredolu names Oladunni Odu Ondo SUBEB chairman
Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has named Princess Oladunni Odu as the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
A statement last night by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Segun Ajiboye said the members of the board are Princess Olufunmilayo Brown (Fulltime member) and Mr Tayo Isaac Fayanju (Fulltime member).
Ex-officio members representing local government areas are: Augustine Oloruntogbe (North), Adebiyi Ayinuola (Central) and Adenikinju George (South).
Other members of the board are: Alhaji Omolaja Abimbola A. (PTA), Comrade Victor Oladele Amoko (NUT), and Mrs Ronke Ojo (Women Group).

NEWSTrailer Crushes Head Teacher, Assistant To Death In Ondo.Published 3 months ago on January 31, 2018 By Akure, TOPE FAYEHUN Head teacher of LA Primary School, Igbatoro/Familugba in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo state, Pastor Oluwajuwon Adebayo and his assistant, Pastor Sunday Ajenifuja have been crushed to death by a trailer. The victims were said to be on their way to school on Monday morning when the incident occurred. An eyewitness told our correspondent that the unfortunate incident happened at Upele junction in Owo Local Government Area of the state. It was also gathered that ,due to the bad road from Akure ,the victims decided to take alternative route to their school which is Owo-Ifon-Okeluse linking Familugba/Igbatoro. It was further learnt that the duo who were the only teachers in the school met their untimely death around 11am when the trailer swerved from his lane and rammed into them . They were later rushed to the Federal Medical Center, Owo where they were confirmed dead. The Education Secretary for Akure North, Samuel Olowere who confirmed the sad incident, said the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board SUBEB has been informed for necessary action. Also, the SUBEB chairman, Princess Oladunni Odu who spoke through the Director of Schools, Clement Adesuyi described the incident as sad and commiserated with the families of the deceased. Confirming the incident, Ondo state Police Command Spokesperson, Femi Joseph, described it as a case of ‘carelessness, reckless and dangerous driving by the trailer. Joseph disclosed that the driver, Juwon Ariyibi, who is a staff of Cobil Limited, Porthacourt,is already in police custody. The PPRO said, he would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.

Due to to the incessant building collapse in the country, the Chairman of the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Princess Oladunni Odu, has warned all the contractors handling projects under the 2013,2014,2015 and 2016 SUBEB/UBEC projects that any one found wanting, would found himself to be blamed.
The Chairman who gave the warning at the inaugural meeting organised for the distribution of letters of award to the successful contractors of the project said the state government has been magnanimous enough by providing counterpart fund to work with.
Odu however advised the contractors to abide by the rules and regulations building the projects.
She therefore said that there have been designated vendors for the purchase of quality building materials and enjoined them to patronise them in other to ensure strict compliance to the guideline
The SUBEB boss later advised the contractors to move to sites immediately they get their letters of award of contract in order to meet up with the stipulated time frame.
She concluded that their will be prompt payment of remaining funds after the completion of the 519 projects across the whole 18 local governments of the state.
Responding on behalf of the contractors, Mr Jide Akintade thanked the Governor and the board management for the opportunity given to them to do the job and promised they would not disappoint the government and the people of the state.
